Maybe you'd be a great fit for Jane's team.

Accounting Manager

Hi, I’m Josh Andler, Senior Director of Finance at Jane. I’ve been here for about six years, and during that time I’ve seen Jane grow quickly while staying deeply grounded in our mission to help the helpers.

Our Finance team’s mission is to be a great business partner to Jane’s leadership. That means providing accurate financial records in a timely manner, helping forecast what’s ahead, and offering clear, thoughtful advice as the business scales. We aim to stay practical and scrappy while keeping a strong handle on risk, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

I spend a lot of my days switching contexts - from process improvements to accounting and tax, to investor relations, to managing subsidiaries, and working cross-functionally with leadership to assess strategic decisions. That variety is something I genuinely enjoy, and it’s a big part of what makes working in finance at Jane different.

This Accounting Manager, Special Projects & Tax role is especially meaningful because it brings dedicated ownership to several areas that are becoming increasingly important as we grow. You’ll help us build structure to support Jane’s strategic initiatives, strengthen our global tax approach, own key equity-related processes, and add flexible capacity across accounting, tax, and FP&A when the business needs it most.

What Impact We’re Looking for You to Make

  • Build and evolve a sustainable global tax strategy that supports Jane’s growth while balancing risk, compliance, and practicality.

  • Act as a trusted owner for Jane’s subsidiaries, bringing structure and visibility across accounting, tax, and FP&A to support accurate reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.

  • Partner closely with Finance leadership to assess the financial and operational implications of new markets, entity changes, or evolving subsidiary needs.

  • Own cap table management in Carta and lead clear, thoughtful communication around Jane’s Stock Option Program, ensuring equity information is accurate, transparent, and well understood across Jane.

  • Contribute meaningfully to special projects such as acquisitions, due diligence, transfer pricing, or liquidity events, helping Jane navigate complexity with care, sound judgment, and a long-term lens.

What Experience We Need

  • CPA designation with experience working in complex, scaling environments.

  • Experience supporting due diligence, acquisitions, or other transaction-related work in Canada and or the US.

  • Corporate tax experience in Canada and or the US, with curiosity and comfort learning new jurisdictions as Jane grows globally.

  • Experience managing or supporting cap tables, equity administration, or stock option programs, or a strong interest in developing depth in this area.

  • Strong generalist accounting background, with the ability to move between accounting, tax, and FP&A work as priorities shift, and communicate risks and recommendations clearly when information is imperfect.

If you don’t meet every single qualification but are excited about this role, we’d still love to hear from you.

Compensation & Benefits

At Jane, we’re committed to paying fairly, clearly, and above all, paying for growth. This role has an annual salary range of $112,000 to $175,000. While that is a large range, it is intentional. It reflects the full growth journey someone might take in the role, from developing skills early on to becoming highly proficient and ultimately achieving excellence.

Most new hires join at the accomplished stage, which for this role represents an annual salary of $133,000. A starting salary below this typically indicates a candidate with strong potential who is still developing key skills. Salaries above this usually apply to existing team members who have made a significant impact and bring deep Jane-specific knowledge.

We believe in paying for growth. You’ll have regular career development conversations with your manager, and your compensation will grow as you gain experience and contribute meaningfully to our mission.

Paying clearly is one of our compensation fundamentals. Watch this short video to learn how our salary bands are set. You’re also encouraged to ask questions about compensation at any point during the interview process.
