Acupuncturist, Professional Certified Coach

With an extraordinary journey spanning over 25 years in Acupuncture, Wellness, and Coaching, Jason Stein, L.Ac isn't your typical expert. He created his path to the renegade lifestyle in the late 90’s by pioneering one of the first integrative medicine programs in a western hospital. Fuelled to bridge the gap between clinical knowledge and business success, he took on the role of Chair of Professional Development at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, educating numerous providers with essential business skills. In 2020, Jason and his partner-in-crime wife relocated their business and family to the remote living of Eastern Oregon. Here, against rural living, they actualized their vision — opening Wallowa Ave Wellness, an all-new Wellness and Retreat Center, from scratch. Between tending to local patients, and nurturing online wellness ventures at Wellness Renegades, Jason embodies the essence of becoming a Wellness Renegade.

✈️ What area of the world do you most want to visit?

I'd love to explore the United States, particularly by RV, with my homeschooling kids, creating an engaging US history lesson while traveling coast to coast. It's a captivating way to immerse ourselves in the diverse culture, history, and geography of this vast nation, turning every mile into a memorable learning experience.

💙 What’s one thing you tell everyone they need to know about Jane?

One remarkable aspect about Jane that I enthusiastically share with everyone is its dynamic approach to healthcare technology. It's not just about patient reminders and basic EHR; what truly sets Jane apart is its unwavering commitment to innovation.

📚 What is your favourite way to learn something new?

I've often found myself on the lively side of attention, possibly leaning toward ADHD territory. So, for me, my preferred way to learn is through hands-on experience. I thrive on trying new things, making mistakes, and then persistently improving. It's a dynamic approach that keeps me motivated and eager to learn.

🎧 Podcast or book recommendation?

I highly recommend "How to Break Up with Your Phone" by Catherine Price. It's a great resource for wellness providers like us who often struggle with excessive screen time. The book offers a 30-day plan to develop a healthier relationship with our devices without completely disconnecting. It's a must-read for anyone seeking a more balanced digital life.
